Episode Synopsis "Long Term Athletic Development (LTAD)"
I've coached athletes as young as 9 years old and adult clients well into their 60's and 70's and they all have something in common. Performance matters. Whether its competing for sport or handling situations in their life with more ease, everyone trains for something. In this episode I discuss how training varies across one's lifespan and how we as coaches need to adapt, pivot, and prepare to lead clients in the weight room at every stage of their life. As fitness professionals, our job isn't always about PRs and flashy lifts. It's about helping clients perform well, reach their goals, and teach them to have a healthy relationship with exercise beyond their career. Whether you're a coach, parent, athlete, or a health and fitness enthusiast, this episode will speak to you.
