Memory Verse: ‭‭ "Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the Lord blessed him" - Genesis 26:12 NKJV Bible Text:  ‭‭‭‭‭‭‭Genesis 26:18 NKJV 18. And Isaac dug again the wells of water which they had dug in the days of Abraham his father, for the Philistines had stopped them up after the death of Abraham. He called them by the names which his father had called them. INSPIRATION: Each time we hear or see a harvest, our joy heightens. But there's something that comes before harvest that we mostly do not want to talk about. Planting always comes before harvest, and those who fail to sow should not expect any harvest. Still, sowing is not enough to guarantee a healthy harvest. You must ensure you prepared the soil, sowed healthy seeds, weed around the crops and tend to your plants for your harvest to be good. A glorious manifestation doesn't occur by chance; spiritual things are not like magic or gamble. You've to work at it to see it. Preparing for harvest comes with a lot of work invested to see the resultant harvest. In our biblical reference text today, we see two accounts of Isaac actively engaging to secure a good harvest. First, he sowed in the land! How is it that this generation want to harvest where they've not sown? You're not sowing into your future so where will the harvest come from? Secondly, he dug again the wells of his father. Bible history has it that a well then in Isaac's days, was more important than a bank account. Digging and owning a well makes you automatically a very rich man as it caters to your crop irrigation and livestock needs. Isaac put aside his fame as Abraham's son to invest for his future. You can't do otherwise if you want a glorious manifestation. You've got to press in. TODAY'S TAKE HOME: Glory comes with a huge price. Pay for it now that you've all the time and strength. Sow massively and extensively to secure a glorious and enviable future. Partner with the Holy Spirit to show you the areas of your life to work on and invest in. PRAYER: Dear Lord, teach me how not to mortgage away my future while doing things that won't guarantee a good harvest for me. Make every effort I make to invest in my future yield a hundredfold glorious return, in Jesus name.
