Episode Synopsis "Beginning your mindfulness journey"

Welcome to A Walk On The Wise Side, a 6 episode series on mindfulness in the modern era. If you’re feeling burned out, lost, or overwhelmed with current affairs, you’ve come to the right place. These podcasts are designed to help you gain insight into the practice of mindfulness, and include step-by-step guides on how to do it at home. Dr Stephen McKenzie is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Psychological Sciences at the University of Melbourne, and a mindfulness researcher, course developer and author. Together with a corral of mindfulness and life wisdom experts, Stephen will help answer the following questions: o What is mindfulness? o What are its benefits? o Is it a fad or is it something deeper? o Can it help me study/work/sleep? There’s no right or wrong way to practice mindfulness - but it can’t hurt to have a guide!
