In this episode, Becca Jacobson shares how she went from prostitution to becoming an English professor. Becca who is now a sobriety and transformation coach empowers and helps people suffering from any type of addiction to overcome and recover. She was exposed to this lifestyle from a very young age because her mom worked an escort. In her late teens, she joined in the escort business to make money and not too long from then, became a full time prostitute which she did from ages 18 to 32. Age the age of 32 years old, she had an awakening and decided to go to college. At that point, she sought to get clean from her alcohol and drug addiction and enrolled in college. Through her determination and focus, she finished her bachelors and Masters degree and also met her husband Dennis who loved her throughout her struggles with alcohol addiction. She went on to became an English professor for many years until her retirement.

Becca's story is one of courage and determination. It's a classical example of "your past doesn't define you". Refusing to play victim helped her overcome a life of addiction and prostitution and taking back charge of her life. Her advise to anyone going through a tough time is to believe you were created for something more than your present situation & continue to push forward.
