INSPIRE Devotionals With Emmanuel Afiawari Saturday, March 29, 2025 Topic: THE PURPOSE OF HIS GLORY (Part 3)! Memory Verse: ‭‭"By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples" - John 15:8 NKJV Bible Text:  ‭‭‭‭‭John 15:4‭-‬7 NKJV 4. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. 5. “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. 6. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. 7. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. INSPIRATION: Bearing fruit is a function of how enriching the soil is where the seed is planted. Where are the places you've been planted? Has the fruits coming out of your life proven that you've been planted in the right 'soil' and places or it has shown otherwise? Our fruits define our identity: “By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; SO YOU WILL BE MY DISCIPLES" (John 15:8 NKJV, emphasis mine). Your identity as a disciple is determined by your fruits, Jesus said. This should challenge you and I to thoroughly examine our relationship with God under this scale. Does God think and see me as a discipline by reason of my fruit-bearing abilities or not? Another point from our bible text that guarantees our manifestation of glory and its purpose, is the call to a personal relationship. Abiding in Him and He in us establishes a relationship. A stranger cannot abide; they visit and go. A lot of us are visitors to God, and the frequency of our visit is not borne out of love but out of the needs we desire Him to meet. The more you abide in Christ, the more His person, nature and lifestyle rubs off on you and reflect in your daily life. One hallmark of a long-term, cordially smooth relationship is the tendency to look alike after a while. Not only do the partners look alike, they also reason alike. If it true of husband and wife relationships, it is much more so in our relationship with Christ. You can't be (abide) in Christ and not command Christ-like glory. TODAY'S TAKE HOME: Examine your level of fruitfulness. Watch out for traces of things that could disconnect you from abiding in Christ. Do not treat signals of spiritual dryness lightly. A lot go wrong when you dry up. PRAYER: Dear Lord, please help me to bear acceptable fruits in terms of quantity and quality. Help me to gain revelational insight into this truth and equip me for all round fruitfulness, in Jesus name.
