INSPIRE Devotionals With Emmanuel Afiawari Monday, December 1, 2025 Topic: MAKE THE MEN SIT DOWN (Part 4)! Memory Verse: "‭Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you" - 1 Peter 5:7 KJV. Bible Text: John 6:10 KJV 10. And Jesus said, Make the men sit down. Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand. INSPIRATION: Having cares is one thing, knowing what to do with them or how to handle your cares is an entirely different thing. Many are so engrossed in their cares that life seem to have left them behind. They may have mega activities that colour or becloud their understanding, yet fail to realise that activities are not same as commanding results. To all such persons labouring under the weight of burdens they bear, Peter says, "Cast all your care upon him; for he cares for you." Jesus genuinely cares for you. Matthew gives a slightly different but very profound approach from Peter's. He says, "Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly" (Matthew 11:28-30 MSG). Jesus is not like today's social media enthusiasts who would prefer to broadcast your plight to actual show of genuine care. No, He's not! Wherever life seem to have beaten you into submission, or you appear to have exchanged your noble dreams for Satan's yoke, I make bold to say, "Cast your burdens upon Him, He cares for you." He will not mock, disparage or deny you. He will not turn His back at you and watch you crumble under the weight you bear. He's our burden bearer and yoke destroyer. Your singular responsibility is to cast your cares on Him. So it would be wrong to want to carry burdens you've been charged to cast on Him. TODAY'S TAKE HOME: ‭‭The song writer was right in lamenting about the peace we often forfeit and needless pains we bear when we do not carry everything to God in prayers. Today is a reminder to stop carrying burdens you should cast on Jesus! Do it now!! PRAYER: Dear Lord, please help me to know how to cast my cares on You, knowing You care. I receive and exercise the grace to lay it all at the Master's feet, in Jesus name, Amen!
