Episode Synopsis

INSPIRE Devotionals With Emmanuel Afiawari Thursday, February 20, 2025 Topic: GET TO WORK ALREADY (Part 3)! Memory Verse: ‭‭ "So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, ‘Do business till I come.’" - Luke 19:13 NKJV Bible Text:  ‭‭‭‭‭‭‭Luke 19:26 NKJV 26. ‘For I say to you, that to everyone who has will be given; and from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him. INSPIRATION: Luke's account of the man who gave out talents and what each made of what was given to them focuses on working our gift to produce profit.  "Well done, thou faithful servant," was the refrain to those who made use of theirs. Talents and gifts don't grow unless you work at improving them; you won't get any better or gain mastery if you don't deploy what has been given to you. Idleness is not holiness, neither is it a fruit of the Spirit. To sit idly in God's house either as a resolve from a past painful experience or 'I don't want to be involved' attitude, is to deny your sonship and make yourself an outcast. The man who didn't use his talent received a just rewards for his wickedness. Our actions carry consequences. Serving the Lord is a privilege we must never abuse. Holding an office in a ministry is not a right but a call to dedicated service.  Partial service is complete disservice. May your actions not make God regret like he did over king Saul; may God not consider raising stones to serve in your place. Don't be a liability to the kingdom after being so heavily endowed. Don't become an unreliable and undependable person to the body of Christ. Do not judge God unfaithful for bestowing on you such graces as you have and don't stay uselessly idle either. TODAY'S TAKE HOME: Know your assignment and map out a strategy to dispense with it faithfully. Determine that God's business in your hands must not suffer loss or neglect. Get busy. The standards of faithfulness in stewardship is God's. Measure your services using God's scales, not yours. PRAYER: Dear Lord, teach and help me to prioritise your work, to serve with diligence and be busy in the real sense of it. Cause my stewardship to come to You as a sweet, pleasing savour, that brings you delight while making me to shine forth gloriously, in Jesus name.
