INSPIRE Devotionals With Emmanuel Afiawari Monday, March 10, 2025 Topic: BIRTHING GLORY THROUGH TESTS! Memory Verse: ‭‭"... If you do,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, “I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me to the test!" - Malachi 3:10 NLT Bible Text:  ‭‭‭‭‭ 1 Samuel 17:39 NKJV 39. David fastened his sword to his armor and tried to walk, for he had not tested them. And David said to Saul, “I cannot walk with these, for I have not tested them.” So David took them off. INSPIRATION: There's a very huge price to pay to manifest glory. The worth of the price is in the quality of test you're put through. David had to go through a major test of using a weapon of war he wasn't familiar with. This is still challenging for us all today. Our ability to discern and stick with God's original plan for us procures cheap victory. David rejected the sophisticated weapons of Saul and killing Goliath came easy with his decision. Have you tested yet that new idea before deploying it? Do you have regards for your inner convictions when you appear before very powerful and influential people? David would not allow the king influence his approach to the glory encounter that would eventually announce and endear him to his people. On the flip side of this, God says we should "test" or "try" him. It means to rely on God's faithfulness. When we trust and judge Him faithful, we would have no difficulty doing his bidding. But the problem is that a lot of us want the results but we don't want to go through the process. He gives an instruction with a conditional blessing attached, then challenges you to test him if he'd not keep his promises. Can you stand on God's promises, especially, the type that makes stupid mockery of your intelligence? How does a young newly engaged virgin Mary get pregnant the unnatural way? But Mary passed the test! She judged God faithful and aligned to his agenda even though there was no such previous experience of any kind to rely on. How would you have reacted if you were to take Mary's exact kind of test? TODAY'S TAKE HOME: Do not compromise your convictions in face of greatly influential people. Be sensitive and discerning enough to align with God's word even if it makes you look stupid at first. Subject your ideas to the test using God's word as your baseline indicator. PRAYER: Dear Lord, please help me to stick with your original intent and to pass every test I'm subjected to in life. Help me to discern the will of God at all times and tp boldly stand by my convictions in the midst of very tempting options and influential people, so that my day to manifest glory would not be postponed, in Jesus name.
