Memory Verse: "‭‭The hand of the diligent will rule, but the lazy man will be put to forced labor" - Proverbs‬ ‭12:24‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ Bible Text: Proverbs‬ ‭22:29‬ ‭KJV‬‬ 29. Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; He shall not stand before mean men. INSPIRATION: A diligent person pays attention to details. He doesn't leave his tasks bearing rough hedges. Every single detail is important to him to enable him deliver an excellent result. He's never caught unfresh. A diligent person has a unique kind of fervency that stirs him up to action. Idleness wearies him. Whilst others may run away from responsibility, he runs in the direction of more responsibilities. He's motivated by new challenges, works hard and intelligently to overcome hurdles in his path. Since he applies himself to work, the continuous repetition of work helps him to brush up his skills to deliver excellent value in return. A diligent person delivers value that's is far above the pay grade of a mediocre, and that's why he's sought after by kings. Value, like faith, is a universal currency; its purchasing power is very high. So also is the price tag on which its products are staked. The values you deliver on is what makes you desirable and employable. Once your value proposition drops, your services may no longer be required. Once your nuisance level rises higher than your value quotient, you're shown the way out. Mediocrity and diligence do not combine effectively in an entity, same way you cannot be hot and cold simultaneously. TODAY'S TAKE HOME: ‭‭Diligence will open doors of opportunities to you that you may never have accessed any way else. To joke with diligence is to deny yourself the chance to be great. PRAYER: O Lord, please, help me not to trade off diligence in pursuit of vainglory. Cause me to stay disciplined to the demands of excellence which cannot be learned any other way but through diligence. Make me to reap great rewards as I apply myself to the cause of diligence, in Jesus name.
