Episode Synopsis "Sustainability - Lesson 1 of Seven Lessons I've Learned in the Workplace "

In an organization or corporation we can ask:  Who is valued?  Who has a voice?  Why are some efforts sustained, while others are not?  In this episode, we will look at issues around sustainability from a practical standpoint.  With varied meanings of sustainability, we will cover brief definitions.  And, since an entity is comprised of people, we will look at the "people" part of what it means to be sustainable.   Thank you for taking time to listen! Podcast host:  Glad you are here!  I'm Chana Hawkins, an educator with experience teaching in preK-12 school, university and community settings. My approach to learning is to listen, pay attention to who I am teaching, and find the best way to bring that person to see how they learn best.  I am also a mother and minister, a teacher in the Christian faith which has informed my perspective particularly when it comes to how people should be treated--for me, that is out of love.
