Episode Synopsis "Seven Lessons I've Learned in the Workplace (Intro)"
In this episode, I introduce the topics I'll be covering from a professional and personal perspective. Take note as we talk about the people side of sustainability, diversity, civil rights, chain of command, personnel, power and identity. I have been accused of being a teacher and of being a preacher in workplace settings--and they were right. But, as a learner, I'm always looking for the lesson. These may be tough topics for some, so let's confront these head-on; and, let's do so in the interest of learning and with love! About: This podcast is presented by Knowledge Font, LLC, a provider of educational services for adults and youth. I'm Chana Hawkins, an educator with experience teaching in preK-12 school, university and community settings. My approach to learning is to listen, pay attention to who I am teaching, and find the best way to bring that person to see how they learn best. I am also a mother and minister, a teacher in the Christian faith which has informed my perspective particularly when it comes to how people should be treated--for me, that is out of love.
