Listen "Why Do We Fear Looking at Our Stress?"
Episode Synopsis
When you are navigating midlife, what are some of the effective strategies for managing stress and embracing change? How can you transform stress into resilience in midlife? Why are mindfulness and nutrition your best allies against midlife stress? In this episode, I dive into the challenges of midlife and why so many of us fear looking at our stress. Midlife is a time of deep reflection—we start asking ourselves big questions like, Is this the life I want? What is my purpose now? But instead of turning away from these thoughts, I talk about how we can use them to create meaningful change. I also share why the coping strategies that worked in our younger years may no longer serve us and how small shifts—like swapping nights out for nature walks or game nights—can make a huge difference in our well-being. We explore the power of mindfulness in reducing overthinking and anxiety, and I offer practical ways to bring it into daily life, from mindful eating to intentional breathing. Of course, body care is just as important. I highlight some of the best foods for midlife health—like dark chocolate, leafy greens, and fermented foods—and emphasize that true self-care is about nourishment, movement, and finding what truly serves you. Thanks for listening, I'd love to connect with you over on Facebook. SHOW NOTES AND RESOURCES: Click here
