Raising children is more than providing food, clothing, and education. God calls parents to raise spiritually aware children—young hearts who recognize God’s voice, honor His Word, and walk in His ways. In 1 Samuel 3, young Samuel heard God’s voice in the night but didn’t yet know it was the Lord calling him. It was Eli who guided him, teaching him to respond: “Speak, Lord, for Your servant is listening.” Samuel grew in spiritual understanding and eventually became a prophet who shaped Israel’s destiny. Likewise, our children may sense God stirring their hearts, asking questions about faith, or expressing compassion, conviction, or curiosity. It is our privilege to help them recognize the Holy Spirit’s leading. When children learn to honor God and obey in the Lord, they walk in blessings—wisdom, protection, and divine favor. Spiritually aware children grow into adults who influence families, communities, and nations for the Kingdom of God.
