Listen "A Father’s Heart of Compassion"
Episode Synopsis
Reflection A compassionate father mirrors the very heart of God. Compassion doesn’t mean weakness—it means strength wrapped in tenderness. It’s the ability to correct without crushing, to guide without controlling, and to love even when disappointed. In the story of the prodigal son (Luke 15:11–32), we see the ultimate picture of a father’s heart. The son squandered his inheritance, choosing rebellion over relationship. Yet when he returned home, the father ran to meet him, embraced him, and restored him to his rightful place. That father didn’t condone sin, but his compassion opened the door for repentance and healing. As earthly fathers and parents, we are called to reflect that same heart. Our children will make mistakes; they will test boundaries. But compassion allows us to discipline in love, to listen before judging, and to create a home where mercy and truth dwell together.
