Listen "Mothers Who Encourage"
Episode Synopsis
Reflection In a world that celebrates loud voices and strong opinions, gentleness often feels underrated. Yet, God treasures a gentle and quiet spirit—it is an inner strength that doesn’t shout to be heard but speaks with wisdom, patience, and peace. One of the most beautiful examples of gentleness in Scripture is seen in David’s encounter with King Saul (1 Samuel 24). David had every opportunity to destroy Saul, who was unjustly pursuing him. Instead, David restrained his hand, saying, “I will not stretch out my hand against my lord, for he is the Lord’s anointed.” His gentleness didn’t make him weak—it revealed his strength, discipline, and deep reverence for God. Gentleness is not the absence of conviction—it’s the presence of the Spirit. It’s knowing when to speak, when to stay silent, and how to correct with love. A gentle spirit diffuses tension, heals relationships, and draws others toward peace. When we walk in gentleness, we mirror the heart of Christ—the One who could command storms, yet welcomed children; who confronted sin, yet comforted the broken.
