INSPIRE Devotionals With Emmanuel Afiawari Sunday, February 16, 2025 Topic: GET READY FOR YOUR HARVEST (Part 2)! Memory Verse: ‭‭ "Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the Lord blessed him" - Genesis 26:12 NKJV Bible Text:  ‭‭‭‭‭‭‭Genesis 26:18 NKJV 18. And Isaac dug again the wells of water which they had dug in the days of Abraham his father, for the Philistines had stopped them up after the death of Abraham. He called them by the names which his father had called them. INSPIRATION: Harvest is the end-result of a series of preparation and activities that begin long before the harvest. In most cases, except where the harvest is generally bad out of no fault of the farmer, your pre-harvest activities determine your actual harvest. In this kingdom, you cannot expect a great harvest without putting in the work. Do not let a distortion of the concept of grace and mercy fool you. After grace and mercy has found you, your investment in the work will determine your growth and results. For instance, you cannot be prayerless and faithless but expect to walk in miracles or do signs and wonders. You cannot spend your income recklessly and expect not to be poor. Isaac sowed in the land and reaped a hundredfold increase! What are you sowing in your 'land'? What are you consciously sowing in your spiritual life, family, career, business, etc? Where are those areas you want to see great harvest this year, and how are you investing in them? And Isaac dug again the wells of his father which the Philistines had stopped. This looks like revisiting and reworking a failed project. But He kept at it, not minding the opposition. At the end, he hit his Rehoboth called a place of much room and fruitfulness. Nothing fails until you give up trying. The point here is, put in the work for the harvest you seek. Stop being lazy but fervent in spirit, serving the Lord (Rom. 12: 11). Read this verse in as many bible translations as you have, then ask yourself, "Am I diligent, hardworking, enthusiastic, passionate, fueled up enough for the harvest I want to see or am I burning out, lazy, slothful, lagging behind, etc?" That harvest will not fall on your laps as you sit idly doing nothing. TODAY'S TAKE HOME: Glory comes with a huge price. Pay for it now that you've all the time and strength. Sow massively and extensively to secure a glorious and enviable future. Partner with the Holy Spirit to show you the areas of your life to work on and invest in. PRAYER: Dear Lord, teach me how not to mortgage away my future while doing things that won't guarantee a good harvest for me. Make every effort I make to invest in my future yield a hundredfold glorious return, in Jesus name.
