Episode Synopsis

INSPIRE Devotionals With Emmanuel Afiawari Sunday, December 29, 2024 Topic: FINISHING STRONG (Part 2)! Bible Text: John 4:34; Zechariah 4:9 John 4:34 NKJV Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work. Zechariah 4:9 NKJV The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this temple; His hands shall also finish it. Then you will know That the Lord of hosts has sent Me to you. INSPIRATION: There's something about completing a task, an assignment or a project, that gives you the courage to want to take on new ventures. Once you surmount a challenge, it kills fear in you and motivates you to be more adventurous in the pursuit of others. Completion gives momentum to your wings and energy to your will. A task completed makes you more enthusiastic and determined, giving you a deep sense of fulfilment. It is against this backdrop that we view Jesus's statement, "My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work." The more He accomplished, the more work he wanted to do. Completion reduces the bigness of our mountains in our view; makes mountains surmountable. It's why Caleb could say, "Now therefore, give me this mountain of which the Lord spoke in that day; ...It may be that the Lord will be with me, and I shall be able to drive them out as the Lord said" (Josh. 14:12). Victory can be self-energising and self-reassuring. If you've tasted victory before, you can dare the devil to do his worst, because whatever your hands started would be brought to completion. It is on this premise that I declare over you: you'd finish strong; you'll not be an abandoned concern; strength and grace for timely accomplishment is released on you. You shall walk tall and victorious, no matter the opposition you face. There shall be no more disappointments, nothing subverts God's plan for your life (Lam. 3:36); your vision finds visible and tangible expression, in Jesus name. TODAY'S TAKE HOME: Be passionate about your career, business and divine assignment. Draw strength and grace from the Holy Spirit to complete whatever your hands begin. Execute by following a divine order: precept upon precept, line upon line. PRAYER: Oh Lord, I draw strength and grace to pursue and finish my assignment well. Speed, ease and favour are released upon me to execute God's purposes and my plans in ways that please Him until I finish strong, in Jesus name.
