Listen "Finishing Strong (Part 1)!"
Episode Synopsis
INSPIRE Devotionals With Emmanuel Afiawari Saturday, December 28, 2024 Topic: FINISHING STRONG! Bible Text: John 4:34; Zechariah 4:9 John 4:34 NKJV Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work. Zechariah 4:9 NKJV The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this temple; His hands shall also finish it. Then you will know that the Lord of hosts has sent Me to you. INSPIRATION: Nothing creates anxiety or agitates the mind of believers like coming to the end of the year with many unfulfilled expectations. When you seem to have done all you could and then switch on the expectancy valve only to experience further delays. At such moments, the heart tends to feel sick because hope has been deferred (Prov. 13:12). It is at such crucial moments that we must turn to, and learn from Jesus. Jesus was soaked and deeply engrossed in doing God's will with an overriding desire to finish it. And he did finish well. Finishing strong is every man's desire. Jesus sets the template for us to follow. Anyone who's completely sold out to a cause in life always finds a way to finish. The assignment fuels their resolve and renews their enthusiasm even in the face of great discouragements. Will everything be rosy always, there's no guarantee to that, but as long as you stay the cause, there's always grace to finish strong. No wonder we're told, "The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this temple; His hands shall also finish it." By implication, whatever we start by divine leading, we're able to finish by the supply of divine guidance, wisdom, strength, and heavenly supply of resources. We'll not have incomplete and abandoned projects. When we seem overwhelmed by prevailing circumstances, grace will surge through us, anointing will flow in and strengthen will be supplied. Until such a time when we come to completion, there's no giving up. TODAY'S TAKE HOME: Be passionate about your career, business and divine assignment. Draw strength and grace from the Holy Spirit to complete whatever your hands begin. Execute by following a divine order: precept upon precept, line upon line. PRAYER: Oh Lord, I draw strength and grace to pursue and finish my assignment well. Speed, ease, and favour are released upon me to execute God's purposes and my plans in ways that please Him until I finish strong, in Jesus' name.
