Memory Verse: ‭‭ "But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!" - Matthew 8:27 KJV Bible Text:  ‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭Mark 1:27 NKJV 27. Then they were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, saying, “What is this? What new doctrine is this? For with authority He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey Him.” INSPIRATION: Jesus, in all of his days on earth, continued to break protocol and cause people to wonder at him. At age 12, he reasoned with the teachers of the law in the temple and outdid them; years later, he turned water into wine; healed on the sabbath; cast out devils, raised the dead, fed the hungry, got money from a fish, etc, and many other very notable miracles. Wherever he went and taught, the power of God was present to heal them (Luke 5:17). Miracles and supernatural display were characteristics and distinguishing feature of his earthly ministry, and people took notice of it. Was it because He was Jesus, the Son of God that made the difference? No, it was more because he prepared himself for it. How did he prepare for it? Firstly, He was always found at the centre of God's will. Doing God's will generates power for effectiveness. Secondly, He was always isolating himself to pray. Effectual fervent prayers makes tremendous power available (James 5:16) and this power is dynamic in its effect. Jesus knew how to put this tool to use. You cannot work miracles where you've not generated power; you cannot have authority that commands demons into obedience (Mark 1:27) if you've not waited on the Lord (Isa 40:31). "Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!" (Psalms 27:14). Jesus always waited on the Lord, no wonder he commanded the kind of glory that none could resist or deny. Do you want to manifest glory like Christ? You have the template he used: wait on the Lord! TODAY'S TAKE HOME: Learn ways and how to wait on the Lord. Dedicate more time to prayers and doing the will of God. Exercise your authority as a believer. Use your powers in Christ. PRAYER: Dear Lord, teach me how to walk in the supernatural and how to command supernatural results everywhere I go. Help  me to take conscious steps towards walking in the supernatural, so that signs and wonders will follow me, in Jesus name.
