INSPIRE Devotionals With Emmanuel Afiawari Saturday, June 14,  2025 Topic: BLOODLINE PATTERNS (Part 3)! Memory Verse: They answered and said to Him, “Abraham is our father.” Jesus said to them, “If you were Abraham’s children, you would do the works of Abraham - John 8:39 NKJV Bible Text: Leviticus 17:11 NLT 11. For the life of the body is in its blood. I have given you the blood on the altar to purify you, making you right with the Lord. It is the blood, given in exchange for a life, that makes purification possible. INSPIRATION: There's yet another feature that ran through Abraham’s, Isaac's, and Jacob's lives respectively. Each of them experienced delay in child birth that lasted several years. Abraham and Sarah waited for 25yrs to birth Isaac; Isaac and Rebecca waited for 20yrs to have Esau and Jacob (Gen. 25:21-28); and Rachel, Jacob's wife was barren for about 18yrs (Gen. 29:31; 30:22). You cannot tell or know the agony of these families but one thing was certain, a pattern of bloodline was being repeatedly perpetuated. When hope is deferred, the heart gets sick (Prov. 13:12), and despair sets it. How was it that in spite of God's covenant with Abraham, barrenness loomed large in his bloodline? Whilst it is established that God doesn't give us evil (James 1:17), He can use all such evil experiences to gift us the most pleasant surprises (Gen. 50:20; Rom. 8:28). Barrenness is a subversion of God's will which He doesn't approve of (Lam.3:36; Exo. 23:26). God expects us to confront and counter all forms of delay in our lives with prayers. Change the dynamics and occurrences of events in your life on your knees with your decree (Dan. 4:17). You have the power in the name of Jesus to permit or forbid a certain order of things in your life (Matt. 18:18 NLT). Use it! TODAY'S TAKE HOME: You should never live and leave your life to chance. Observe and discern when things are going out of sequence and stand on your watch with your decree. Delays may derail your life's purposes when you fail to order the course of events as it should be (Job 38:12). PRAYER: O Lord, I decree and declare an end to every form of delay and barrenness in my life and bloodline. I order the courses of my life to follow a divinely set timetable of speedy occurrences, in Jesus name.
