Put me to the test!" - Malachi 3:10 NLT Bible Text:  ‭‭‭‭‭ 1 Samuel 17:39 NKJV 39. David fastened his sword to his armor and tried to walk, for he had not tested them. And David said to Saul, “I cannot walk with these, for I have not tested them.” So David took them off. INSPIRATION: Until Joseph was certified to have passed the test of his character, the exalted office of a Prime Minister did not come; Jesus had to pass the test of the Cup and the Cross to share in the glory of the Father. Glory in God's kingdom comes at a price that yieldedness and selflessness are part of its cost. But whilst you might expect God to test you in the "big things" according to human classification, God might decide to prove you in the smallest, insignificant things. For Gideon's army, it was a test of how they drank water! Who could have thought one's posture while drinking water was going to be a factor to consider for qualification or disqualification into the army? You see? God's ways are not ours! Paul says, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing" ( 2 Tim 4:7‭-‬8). Fighting a good fight comes at a cost: you can't be entangled with the affairs of this life (2 Tim. 2:4); to finish your race, you have to lay aside every weight and sin (Heb. 12:1-2); to keep the faith is to uphold the teachings of sound doctrines. Now, these are some parameters by which God will test your faith and maturity before the glory will be revealed and released. You'd either pass God's test or remain ordinary without any glories to manifest. The password to a life of glory is the TEST that you successfully PASS! TODAY'S TAKE HOME: Do not compromise your convictions in face of greatly influential people. Be sensitive and discerning enough to align with God's word even if it makes you look stupid at first. Subject your ideas to the test using God's word as your baseline indicator. PRAYER: Dear Lord, please help me to stick with your original intent and to pass every test I'm subjected to in life. Help me to discern the will of God at all times and tp boldly stand by my convictions in the midst of very tempting options and influential people, so that my day to manifest glory would not be postponed, in Jesus name.
