"In this episode we talked about cost and resource management, which we couldn’t deny its importance in projecting a further vision. I would see the notions of cost as part of the investment allocated to achieve a bigger goal or maintain a consistent desired performance. It was a pleasure to get David Yeow - a talented architectural and interior photographer in Malaysia - to share his views on running his photography practice. Despite the difference in business approach, the fundamental of being a creative practice is pretty much similarly applicable in any architectural practice. We spoke about talent resources management, equipments, office… and how we should identify the overheads to ensure a practice’s financial sustainability and profitability. And of course, when we talk about business, it is not limited to a good value of monetary rewards (by understanding a simple but careful connection of profit-and-loss), but also a holistic acknowledgement of value exchange within a society." - Gary
