This week, host Eleni, will begin a 3 part series on promised brides based off of the book by Panayota Nazou, ‘Promised Brides,’ who will be joined by guests, Olympia Nelson and Liannah Diacaris. In part 1 we will be looking into the context and the historical events that contributed to the Greek  mass migration post WW2, in particular to Australia, that instigated and exacerbated this process of arranged marriages and proxy brideships.
