Episode Synopsis "The BOLD queen"

What rings in your mind when you see or imagine a lioness? The first time I saw a lioness was at the Nairobi National Park. I was around eight years of age and I marveled at her beauty . She was gracefully resting on a wooden platform, basking in the sun. This queen was the boldest creature I had ever laid my eyes on. Her ‘husband’, as my mind liked to imagine, made his way to rest close to her. Now that, was beautiful! Having the king of the jungle want to rest nowhere else, but close to you…😊 I digress…It was not until recently that I decided to really think about what we could learn from this queen.  I have since desired to inform women on the importance of harnessing the lioness in them, and also help men identify and understand the importance of the lionesses in their lives. When I see or imagine a Lioness, a plethora of descriptions flood my mind! She is elegant, beautiful, graceful, feminine, strong, fast, strategic, nurturing and so much more!In the vast kingdom of the jungle, lives a seemingly equable king whose main role is to protect his pride. So, in most occasions, he is a placid lion with a queen whose responsibility is to provide for her family. She does not shy away when it comes to defending her family, and she does so with such might and courage. The lioness is strategic. She slinks closer to her prey, her goal, up until she and other lionesses are close enough to tackle the prey, with little to no flight from the latter… she has priorities. Have goals that you want to attain for yourself and always set your priorities straight. Even so, this queen is still able to hunt alone, therefore, never be afraid of eating alone at the table. Besides, what’s the worst that can happen? It is better to be alone than to associate with people who deprecate your value."Sisters, you are each like the lioness at the gate. This means that there has to be some prioritizing. I was taught years ago that when our priorities are out of order, we lose power. If we need power and influence to carry out our mission, then our priorities have to be straight." ~ Julie B. BeckI noticed that influential women strong enough to move and keep a family, society or even a nation, have a Lioness-type of character. Take Michelle. Obama as an example. She is utterly smart, beautiful, aggressive, driven, caring and graceful. I think it holds so much power and influence to possess such virtues! Women are strong enough to give love to others and still chase after their dreams. And a man wise enough to identify, love and keep such a woman, is like winning yourself the most treasured gem in the world! She will provide you with the support you need to attain your life’s goals, give you a home and the care that you need.                           Women too, just like lionesses need each other when hunting, need other reputable women to guide them through the journey of womanhood. With counsel from the right group of lionesses, you’ll grow to become the best version of yourself. We all need to identify the lionesses in our lives. It could be your mother, neighbor, daughter, sister, aunt, schoolmate or even your boss! Let’s all take the time to think about the instances when we’ve received nuggets of love from these figures in our lives, and turn to them for inspiration. Remember that if you feel like you can’t identify anyone in your life, there is social media. Follow and read about whom you most admire and only emulate what you know will propel you closer to the individual you want to become.Have a blessed and productive week ahead. As always, stay safe.Be kind.Be confident.
