Episode Synopsis "Hear: A Non-Voter in the 2020 U.S. Presidential Election"

I wanted to speak to a non-voter myself, and in the process I met an individual who legally cannot vote in the U.S. but wishes he was able to vote, a woman who will vote despite feeling like her vote does not count, and a man who is able to but will not vote in the 2020 presidential election. Listen to them in lesson #3.Rabi: “I’m a DACA recipient so obviously that limits me from voting… If I was able to vote, I would absolutely vote. There is a lot of things on the table and if I was able to vote I would definitely vote.”Alma:“I am voting even though I feel it doesn’t really matter or it doesn’t count, because… at the end of the day like they did it last time in the elections with Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, they ended up saying she won the popular vote but then the electoral college was the one that made the final vote.”Marwell:“One of the main reasons I don’t vote is I’m not educated in the issues -you know? So when I was in High School my history teacher, one of the things he told us, he was making an assignment and talking about the history of politics and all that stuff, and he said: I don’t care if you guys fail my class of if you pass my class, just make sure that if you don’t know the subjects don’t vote. Because people that vote and they don’t know the subjects are stupid basically you’re voting and you’re affecting other people -you know?” This is a public episode.
