Learn more about the Cruthers Collection of Women's Art (CCWA) in this conversation with CCWA curator Lee Kinsella and members of LSAC (LWAG Student Advisory Committee) Victor Arul, Fannisa Balqis Assyilah, Mia Davis and Amy Reid. One of several major public collections owned by the University of Western Australia, the CCWA consists of over 700 works of art created by Australia women artists. In this conversation, Kinsella discusses the history of the CCWA, her role as curator as well as new initiatives, including the CCWA online database and forthcoming exhibition '(Un)ladylike Acts: Recent Acquisitions from the Cruthers Collection of Women's Art'. This episode is the first in a series of LWAGTalks conversations developed by the LWAG Student Advisory Committee. Initiated in March 2020, the LWAG Student Advisory Committee consists of 16 UWA students who advise Gallery staff and develop new initiatives to connect LWAG with University students.
