Episode Synopsis "Episode 2: The Colorado Sleep Institute, the nervous system and sleep"
Welcome to the Kaiut Yoga podcast in Collaboration with Colorado Sleep Institute! Here at Kaiut, we are interested in bringing together experts in fields that intersect with our practice to understand the role of Kaiut in our overall health. In this series, we focus on the connection between body, mind, and sleep through discussion with Adam Wertz, RPSGT, co-founder of the Colorado Sleep Institute and Dr. Ellen Stothard, PhD Research and Development Director. In our second episode, Kristin and Craig sit down with Adam Wertz and Dr. Ellen Stothard to discuss the nervous system and how it is a major focus of sleep health as well as Kaiut yoga practice. Adam and Ellen explain the focus of the Colorado Sleep Institute as it differs from other sleep medicine clinics by working to treat the whole person including the causes of their sleep disorders. If you have ever wondered how the nervous system affects sleep, what are some new ideas in sleep disorders research and what are some things you can do to improve your sleep, join Kristin, Craig, Adam, and Ellen in this conversation to find out more!
