INSPIRE Devotionals With Emmanuel Afiawari Friday, February 14, 2025 Topic: TAKE THE INITIATIVE; LAUNCH OUT (Part 2)! Bible Text:  ‭‭‭‭‭‭‭Luke 5:4‭-‬6 NKJV 4. When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” 5. But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.” 6. And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking. INSPIRATION: Most often than not, moments of crisis are divinely arranged opportunities for the believer to launch new products and services that would give them comparative advantage over others. But as in most cases, we're either too blind or too insensitive to see the opportunities. Spiritually, Abraham lifted his eyes and saw all the land during a crisis moment with Lot; Joseph came to Pharaoh/Egypt's rescue during a national crisis; Ruth walked through a devastating crisis to become Jesus's great grandmother. What can you birth spiritually when all hell is breaking loose around you? Whilst we pray, we must be creatively productive and forward-thinking too, knowing that opportunities would never be dressed in the garment we expect to see them dressed in. It is in moments of confusion and crisis such as we're in right now that many great businesses were birthed to cater to the needs of the people and to cushion the effects of the crisis. Peter was in a crisis moment: he had gone to his fishing business all night but caught nothing. This sounds familiar, I guess. You may have invested so much but have nothing to show as your reward. There's a word for you that only you must hear: launch into the deep and cast your net. Jesus had just finished speaking to the crowd when he spoke directly to Peter. The word that will take you into your breakthrough is not a general word but a specific rhema-word tailored to address the peculiarities and specificity of your situation. You cannot afford to miss that word. "He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions" - Psalms 107:20. TODAY'S TAKE HOME: Get specific divine instructions for your life and act on them immediately. Deal with your fears and do not allow the voice of negativity stop you. Partner with the Holy Spirit and ask Him to teach you what to do and how to do it. PRAYER: Dear Lord, teach me how to launch out into your ordained purposes for my life and give me the courage to stay true to a life of purpose. As I activate my faith and launch into whatever You lead me into, may I have net-breaking harvests for my efforts, in Jesus name.
