INSPIRE Devotionals With Emmanuel Afiawari Wednesday, February 26, 2025 Topic: MADE BY CHOICE (Part 3)! Memory Verse: ‭‭ "But you should all constantly boil over with passion in seeking the higher gifts. And now I will show you a superior way to live that is beyond comparison!" - 1 Corinthians 12:31 TPT Bible Text:  ‭‭‭‭‭‭Deuteronomy 30:19 KJV 19. I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: INSPIRATION: Jesus shares a parable in Luke 14: 28 - 29 about someone intending to build a tower, and leaves us with some powerful insights to glean from. To build a tower, he has to first sit down and cost it! Have you ever cost your choices to know all it requires? Are your choices a reflection of you are in terms of the values that guide your life? Do they reflect your worth? Are they 'expensive' relative to your resources? Are they objective-driven or self-serving? Who or what else is left to suffer each time you make choices? The second consideration from Jesus's parable of the tower is your ability to finish it. Does your choice lead to logical and praiseworthy conclusions? Do you have a holistic view of events before you choose? So many persons have no problems with starting out, but they're always never able to finish up. They've repeated circles of near-success syndrome with nothing to show for their effort; just busy running in circles without progress, and they keep following same routine to their detriment. The last part of concern from this parable is the mockery that follows the builder's inability to complete what he begun (Luke 14: 29). Are your choices devoid of end results that bring shame and mockery? Are you proud you make such decisions? Do you wallow in self-defeat and regrets for your choices? Can you publicly own up to the private choices you make? Whilst God doesn't glory in our shame, some people have a default setting of making wrong choices that bring them perpetual shame! This negative trend must be checked and curtailed. TODAY'S TAKE HOME: What informs your choices? Those who trivialise the power of making the right choices end up with deep-seated regrets. Don't add to this negative statistics. PRAYER: Dear Lord, please give the courage and presence of mind to make the right decisions always. Guide my plans, thoughts, actions, and emotions to align with your will that guarantees my utmost good, in Jesus name, Amen.
