Listen "Keeping Your Fire Burning!"
Episode Synopsis
INSPIRE Devotionals With Emmanuel Afiawari Monday, March 17, 2025 Topic: KEEPING YOUR FIRE BURNING! Memory Verse: "A fire shall always be burning on the altar; it shall never go out" - Leviticus 6:13 NKJV Bible Text: Leviticus 6:12 NKJV 12. And the fire on the altar shall be kept burning on it; it shall not be put out. And the priest shall burn wood on it every morning, and lay the burnt offering in order on it; and he shall burn on it the fat of the peace offerings. INSPIRATION: When you read an instruction like, “A fire shall always be burning on the altar; it shall never go out" - Leviticus 6:13, the following questions should come to your mind: firstly, what altar is he referring to? Secondly, what's the significance of the fire on the altar? Thirdly, does the fire refer to literal fire or it is metaphorical? Fourthly, what could possibly happen or go wrong if my fire goes out? It is obvious we aren't interrogating scriptures enough to discover ourselves and God's intentions for us. The intentionality to search deeply into God's word has lost its place and authenticity in this generation. Ironically, although knowledge is increasing, the yoke of ignorance, laziness and loss of interest has kept everyone running in circles. You must determine what you need to do to keep your fire burning on your altar; you must take responsibility for your destiny and align yourself to God's agenda to make you manifest glory. This text calls for very serious self-evaluation: how far can I go with my current level of fire? How do I rekindle my fire and ensure it doesn't go out? What are the possible fire extinguishing indicators in my life? How can I increase the capacity and intensity of my fire? Questions like this should make your spirit restless and force you to some actionable processes that would birth revival. Elijah would bury his head between his thighs until there was a significant evidence of a rising cloud. Where you lack authentic fire, you can't shift your clouds! TODAY'S TAKE HOME: Set up an altar if you don't have one, or rebuild yours if it is already broken. Make a covenant with God on this altar and agree on how you'll be servicing it. Bring your "wood," "burnt offering," pour your "fat offering" to fuel the fire, and bring your "peace offering" daily to this altar. PRAYER: Dear Lord, please help me to understand the significance of having fire burn on my altar, and set my life on fire for you once again. May I never lack the requisite fire on my altar that could deliver desirable benefits to me daily, in Jesus name.
