INSPIRE Devotionals With Emmanuel Afiawari Tuesday, November 11, 2025 Topic: INSIGHTS INTO PSALM 23_ BLESSED & ANOINTED REGARDLESS (Part 8)! Memory Verse: "And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you" - Exodus 3:14 KJV Bible Text: Psalms 23:5 KJV 5. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. INSPIRATION: David makes a very careful yet profound statement about whom God is and what He does for him. To prepare a table before him in the presence of his enemies is to bless him in spite of the enemy's worst assault against him; it is to lavish God's abundance on him in such a reassuring way like saying, "I've got you, baby." See what this Psalmist says, "The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?" (Psalms 118:6). Knowing your position in your relationship with God makes Satan's attack on you look significantly meaningless because he can't curse whom God has blessed (Num. 23: 8). Whilst the enemy is puzzled at the lavish table God sets for you, He caps it with His anointing. The anointing empowers you to do exploits, brings you into the extra flow where everything runs over. The oil of God is such a powerful and impactful thing that must never be played with. It puts you ahead of others; guarantees ease and eliminates friction. Like a catalyst, it stirs, compels and commands an overflow, and pulls off every seal of limitation. Boundary lines extend as the oil empowers you to do extraordinary things and achieve extra impossible results. Overflow is absence of scarcity. The oil makes you running over! TODAY'S TAKE HOME: ‭‭When God is your Shepherd, Psalm 23: 5 is guaranteed. You may not need to do much other than follow the Shepherd's instructions. PRAYER: O Lord, I'm ready to enjoy the banquet of Your lavish table prepared for me in spite of my enemies. I come under the power of Your anointing upon my life, declaring an overflow of abundance in my life, in Jesus name.
