INSPIRE Devotionals With Emmanuel Afiawari Wednesday, November 12, 2025 Topic: INSIGHTS INTO PSALM 23 (Part 9)! Memory Verse: "And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you" - Exodus 3:14 KJV Bible Text: Psalms 23:6 KJV 6. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever. INSPIRATION: Notice with me, if you would, how David makes a switch from talking about God being his Shepherd to making a declarative assertion about himself. Believers must learn to discern when to switch from being TRADITIONAL believers to being TRANSITIONAL believers. A traditional believer has a fixed mindset that is not open to new ideas or inspirational information. If it is not patterned how he knew it to be, it is not right. To a traditional believer, everything must either be black or white and nothing in-between. Believers must discern divine moments when a "SURELY" registers in their spirit and make the switch. They must not be tied down to traditional ways to thinking that makes God's Word of no effect (Mark 7: 13). The danger of being traditional when you should be transitional is that you could kill your 'Isaac' while thinking you're carrying out a divine instruction (read Genesis 22: 1 - 13). Abraham might have killed Isaac on the first order if he wasn't sensitive to hear a second time. But the main point of the transition wasn't when he heard, "Do not lay a hand on the boy," but when he lifted his eyes and saw a ram caught by the horn and killed it in the place of Isaac (Gen. 22:13). TODAY'S TAKE HOME: ‭‭Every now and again, divine instructions and opportunities avail themselves to us. Only those who are able to switch from the traditional mindset to a transitional mindset would hear, see and maximise the opportunities. PRAYER: O Lord, I'm sensitive to divine promptings and graced to make the right switch at the right time. I do not have a traditional mindset, neither do I frustrate the grace of God upon my life through traditional ways of thinking. I'm transitional and maximise my opportunities, in Jesus name.
