Memory Verse: ‭‭"‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind" - 2 Timothy‬ ‭1:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬ Bible Text:  ‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭Joshua‬ ‭1:9‬ ‭KJV‬‬ 9. ‭‭‭‭Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. INSPIRATION: Courage gives you an unwavering audacity that resonates deep within you, knowing you can do all things through Christ's strength (Phi. 4: 13). It is like the surging pump of adrenaline in your veins that defy all forms of opposition. It motivates you to try again irrespective of the number of times you've failed at same thing. That is, courage doesn't give up easily. In a world bereft of resilience, it is courage you need to fight through to your victory. But for courage, what would make an 80yrs old Caleb demand to be given the mountain (Josh. 14: 12), or to say, "‭‭Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it" (Num. ‭13:30‬)? This year holds very beautiful promises but it didn't promise to be easy or rosy. It would take great courage to be stable as you take a fighting chance at life. Courage makes you go for what's yours without looking back. Courage sees what others can't, and cashes in on all such very rare opportunities. It takes courage to get the lion's share in every encounter. TODAY'S TAKE HOME: ‭Courage is a product of power and sound mind. Where courage is lacking, check the level of your power and the soundness of your mind. PRAYER: Dear Lord, please give me the audacity to take on life with a dogged determination. Give me the courage that defies fear but emboldens me to deal squarely with the giants and mountains in my path until I win, in Jesus name.
