As one of the first 25 instructors to be certified in the Wim Hof method in the U.S., he trained his mind and body by meditating in subzero waters, doing barefoot hikes over ice covered terrain, and climbing the 5,500 foot frozen Mount Sněžka wearing only swimming trunks.
