Episode Synopsis

There are a lot of people who I've spoken with, who are afraid to eat out, because they believe that even one untracked meal is going to cause them to gain weight.
One meal isn't going to make or break you. It's what you consistently do over time that matters most.
However, if you are going to eat out there are tips I share that will help you stay on track and still enjoy yourself.
I have learned to look for the same things I normally eat in the places I go to with friends. I'm looking to get a portion of protein, carbs and fats.
You can do a pretty good job of estimating if you're honest with yourself.
Anytime I eat out, I will take a look at the menu ahead of time, make a decision on what I'm going to have before I get there and stick to that plan. I also always account for more fat being used in my meal, because most often restaurants use more fat than we do at home.
Eating out is a chance for you to connect with people you enjoy. You don't want to cloud that with your anxiety and fears over food.
