In this episode, I will be discussing what a sorority is and the common aspects of sorority life and culture.  New terms found in this episode: Chapters: divisions of a large Greek organization that differ per school Rush period: where potential members are "vetted" to see if they are a good fit for the organization Pledging period: a probation period for the new members where they are to participate in every aspect of Greek life, proving they are worthy of being in the organization Bid: an invitation to join a Greek organization which is given after the rush period Dues: fees that members must pay per month or per semester to be considered active Bigs: active members of a Greek organization that act as a mentor/big sibling for a new member Littles: the new or potential member that a Big is assigned to Twins: when two or more members in a Greek organization have the same Big Family line: the connection between every Big and Little that can sometimes go as far back as the founding members Chapter houses: where members of a chapter may reside or hold events Hazing: commonly associated with the bullying or harassment of a new or potential member of an organization
