This episode is an introduction into mindful eating. I’m going to share some tips and tricks on how to get the most out of your food - and drink - by slowing down. This is a great way to reduce unnecessary stress on your physical and mental health. It’s also the perfect time to learn from this episode, as we’re all spending more time at home due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and many stats have been coming out about the increase in our food and alcohol consumption. Now I’m a big foodie who loves nothing more than a bowl of pasta, a slice of pizza, washed down with a glass of wine. But the satisfaction I experience is vastly increased when I chill out and really savour it! Mindfulness invites us to remove any distractions and sit uninterrupted with our food. By eating more slowly, we savour the flavour, the aroma, and the various textures. We really start to reconnect with our senses.
