Listen "16 - Tight Isn't Always Right (Understanding The Overactive Pelvic Floor)"
Episode Synopsis
It’s been a hot minute with much needed down time, but now it’s time to share my latest guest episode!
The wonderful, knowledgeable Siobhan Lenihan from Leni Pelvic Health Physiotherapy is passionate about empowering you to take charge of your pelvic health.
I honestly did not know how much there is to the pelvic floor and today we talk through just one aspect of it that seems to be all too common - the overactive pelvic floor.
Siobhan has completed extensive training including a postgraduate in Continence and Pelvic Health Training, finalising her Masters of CPH with a research proposal on Endometriosis, as well as WHTA Advanced Prolapse and Stress Urinary Incontinence Training, plus more.
In this episode we talk through:
What is the pelvic floor
What is an overactive pelvic floor
Signs and symptoms
Leakage
The link between mental health and the overactive pelvic floor
Impact on fertility, plus more!
