In the first episode of The Hyphenated Experience, I'm joined by Chidera, a sophomore Neuroscience major, who shares some of her experiences regarding the ways in which her Nigerian ethnicity has shaped her college experience thus far. We discuss the importance of establishing safe spaces with people who share similar experiences with you in the college setting. We also discuss the importance of colleges being racially and ethnically diverse and close out with advice for students of color navigating these spaces.
