The Don Was Motor City Playlist on WDET. Hosted by Internationally renowned musician, producer and Blue Note Records President Don Was and co-hosted by WDET’s Ann Delisi. The program will air Friday nights from 10 p.m. to Midnight and launches February 19, 2021. The show will be all about great music. From jazz to rock classics—from Ike and Tina Turner to Miles Davis and the Grateful Dead, from Kamasai Washington to Yola Carter. During the show, you’ll hear behind the scenes stories of musicians around the world, stories about everyone from Bob Dylan to the B52’s. Mr. Was has many tales to tell from years of touring and producing great music.
