Allan de la Plante is an entrepreneur, photographer, author, painter, and keynote speaker who documented his friend Gilles Villeneuve on his meteoric rise through the ranks of motorsport and into Formula 1 during the late 1970’s and early 80's. Allan’s book "Villeneuve: A Racing Legend" is must-have material for racing fans in Canada and all over the globe. In 1997, Allan’s images of Gilles Villeneuve were recognized by the Government of Canada and used as the basis for commemorative stamps honouring Villeneuve’s.
