Ep 4: A Caribbean born-UK raised Royston and Patricia walk us through life in the UK as children of the Windrush Era. How life as a second generation Caribbean impacted their outlook and experience of the UK education system. The personal healing and growth that was triggered by growing up in a system and a foreign community not designed for racial inclusivity and equality. Royston and Patrica are now founding members of the The Garvey Village social enterprise, on a mission to repair and bring healing to the Afro-Caribbean community in London, UK. The Garvey Village is set to bring together members of the African and Caribbean diaspora to create an establishment of unity for personal and group empowerment.
