Episode Synopsis "Episode 7 - Thoughts on Serena Williams, Grace, Gracefulness, and Last Chance You"
Serena demanded an apology from the umpire and rules officials. We all owe her a big thank you. While I’m proud of her for sticking up for and being passionate about woman’s rights, I won’t go there. I’ll let the rest of social media and the public debate that issue, as it may be a bit outside the scope of this community of encouragement we’re building here with the Ballgames To Boardrooms Podcast. I do want to thank Serena for showing us and reminding us all how important grace and gracefulness is in our lives at work and even at home. In this episode we breakdown the Serena Williams U.S. Open must see tv from this past Saturday and what we can take away. I’ve had this episode and topic of Grace on my mind for months, maybe years. So, as I watched the Serena “episode” unfold, I felt now would be a great time to share these ideas. I’ve included a few excerpts from my next book, Lead With Hospitality, as I devote an entire chapter to Grace and Gracefulness. Welcome back. Enjoy.
