Wouldn’t it be sweet if you could quickly put together the pieces to set yourself up to have your best day possible?I had a coaching client once tell me that they had had enough neuroscience, behavioral science and high-performance learning from the coaching sessions, and now they wanted to know how to practically put it together and implement.Well, that is what today’s podcast is all about.Today I am rolling out a list of over 15 different science-backed approaches that you can use to put together your best day.Summary of Key Points Everyone’s version of a “best” day is going to be slightly different, and its going to change depending on context: A killer Tuesday will probably look different to me than a stellar SundayFor today’s podcast, I am focusing on creating a day that:Feels productive – means you make progress on the things that matter, you get some things doneWhere you have energyYou have focusFeel engagedFeel balancedAt the end of the day you can look back and feel fulfilled Key Parts of Creating Your Best DayRemember, you don’t have to use all of these. You can just use one or two, or stack a few of them together. However, I find the more of these are included in my day, the better it will be. Get good sleep and wake up on time without hitting the snooze buttonDo a Morning HIIT exercise session Take a cold showerEat the right kind of food, throughout the daySet your mindset for the daySet your tasks/activities for the dayWork for 40 to 50 minutes at a time onlyTake short breaks between work setsFocus/Get rid of distractions while you workComplete your analytical tasks in the morning, creative in the afternoonMeditate – at least one of your breaks should include at least 2 to 3 minutes of meditationLunch break – good food, no screen, incl. people, incl. movementShift your mind at end of the workdayBe intentional about eveningPlan for tomorrowStop in enough timeClick here to access a quiz that will help you figure out where you are in your improvement journey, the skills you should focus on, your next 3 steps, and some curated recommendations on tools and resources that can help you out.
