Cinematographer, Homer Salinas, started his filmmaking journey making short films with his friends in South Texas. Years later, his feature documentary debut, KID CANDIDATE, premiered at the 2021 SXSW Film Festival. Homer discusses his desire to tell socially conscious stories, how his parents are his biggest inspiration, and how cinematography utilizes both sides of the brain.
