Episode Synopsis "The Path to Becoming a Judge"
The aim of the event was to encourage those interested in a career as a judge to think about this option as early as possible. The event is ideal for practising lawyers and students alike. The event starts with a talk from HHJ Anuja Dhir QC. Anuja sits as a judge in the Old Bailey. Anjua speaks about about her career and her route to becoming a judge. There is then a talk from Jane Furniss CBE. Jane talks about her role at the Judicial Appointments Commission (JAC) and the application process. This is followed by a talk from Claire Thurlow on the wealth of useful material for aspiring judges on the JAC website. The event concludes with a Q&A session.
