Using two verbs volerci and metterci used with time expressions in Italian to express the amount of time it takes to perform an activity When using volerci the amount of time is the subject so the amount of time is either singular like for example one hour or plural two hours therefore volerci can be used only in the third person singular or plural form.ci vuole un ora or ci vogliono due ore. However with metterci a person is performing the action so it is conjugated in all persons, for example, ci metto un ora ci or ci metto due ore
