1 Peter 1:7 says "so that the proven genuineness of your faith--of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire--may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed." Our lives are a testament of the many fires that we have gone through, but if we have faith in the maker of all things, Jesus Christ, our faith will be of greater worth than gold itself.
