A banjo field recording from late spring, 2016. Recorded in the backyard of Richard's childhood home in Blacktown, Western Sydney. Banjo, lots of birds, a few cars, a lawnmower, a power saw, a plane overhead, some wind - actually, too much wind. But, that’s suburban Sydney on a sunny Saturday afternoon after all. Richard is a well-known banjoist about town in Sydney. You’ll catch him performing across town as himself as well as in his duo - Golden Whistler - or at the regular Bluegrass and Traditional Country Music Association meet ups in Sydney town.
