Gopal Honnalgere can be referred to as one of those forgotten gems of Indian literature. He passed away in 2003 and had always lived a life away from the popular media, so much so that the image that I have used might be the only available image of his on the internet. This particular poem of his says a lot using the metaphor of slippers and this thought provoking poem is my presentation for this episode.
